Shades of Play is an interactive videogame originated in the context of Designmonat Graz 2015.
It’s a shadow-tracking system where a beamer projects a virtual playing area on a big screen and allows the player to interact with the virtual characters in the game just with your own shadows.
With some skills and a lot of physical exertion you can help the characters to find their required destination. Every character has another personality and desire.
We are a group of game developers consisting of 3 programmers (Christian Afonso, David Szammer, Lorenz Jäger), 2 artists (Anna Prem, Matthias Rauch) and one music composer (Stefan Putzinger).
My part was especially creating and animating the characters, which was a lot of fun.
